The Center for Comparative and International Studies (CIS) at ETH Zurich invites applications for a Post-doctoral position (100%) in the International Political Economy / International Environmental Politics group at the CIS, which is led by Prof. Thomas Bernauer.

The group’s research and teaching focuses on political and other conditions under which environmental and economic problems that extend beyond national borders can be solved. The new postdoc will contribute to collaborative research projects of the group, pursue her/his own research agenda in some area of International Political Economy / International Environmental Politics, participate in the supervision of doctoral students, and teach 2 courses per year.

Your background:
You should hold a doctoral degree (PhD) in political science, international relations, or economics/political economy. Applicants are expected to have strong methodological skills, a keen and manifest interest in theories and empirical research on questions of International Political Economy / International Environmental Politics, and a strong command of English.

What we offer:
We offer an intellectually challenging full-time position in one of the leading political science research centers in Europe. The position is initially for one year starting in January 2020, and can be extended up to six years. The salary is in the order of CHF 90’000 per year.
